Mind Your Biscuits Wins Malibu Stakes at Santa Anita Park
Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California played host to the $300,000 G1 Malibu Stakes on Monday, December 26. Three year olds took to Santa Anita's dirt track and raced seven furlongs. Mind Your Biscuits improved on a quality third in the Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint and prevailed by a half length as the 7-2 second betting choice. 4-1 third choice Sharp Azteca finished a good second in the field of nine while 8-5 favorite Ten Blessings closed from sixth to finish third. Mor Spirit, who was sent off at 4-1 was fourth and was followed home by Awesome Banner, Semper Fortis, Who's Out, Horse Greedy, and Jazzy Times, to complete the order of finish. Navy Hymn scratched.
