Goodyearforroses Wins Santa Ana Stakes at Santa Anita Park
The $200,000 G2 Santa Ana Stakes took place Sunday, March 12 at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California. Fillies and mares four years old and upward took to Santa Anita's turf track and raced 1 1/8 miles. Abbondanza Racing's even-money favorite Goodyearforroses continued her upward trend and secured her first graded stakes score - by 1 3/4 lengths - her third straight stakes win overall. 7-1 shot Pretty Girl rallied from eighth to get second with co-4-1 third choice Sweet Charity getting in for third. Sheeza Milky Way was fourth while Evo Campo, Do the Dance, Responsibleforlove, and Kenriya (4-1), who set the pace completed the order of finish.
