Unique Bella Wins Santa Ynez Stakes at Santa Anita Park
The $200,000 G2 Santa Ynez Stakes was run Sunday, January 8 at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California. Three year old fillies took to Santa Anita's dirt track and raced seven furlongs. It was Don Alberto Stable's Unique Bella that impressed yet again going away - by an easy 7 1/2 lengths. It Tiz Well closed from last in a field that was trimmed to just five to claim second place, 2 1/2 lengths clear of a tiring Shane's Girlfriend who got in for third. Princess Karen and Resilient Humor completed the order of finish. Carrie, Go On Mary, Noted and Quoted and Sandy's Surprise all scratched.
