Drefong Wins Forego Stakes at Saratoga Race Course

The $500,000 G1 Forego Stakes was run this past Saturday, August 26 at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York. Horses three years old and upward were featured when they took to Saratoga's dirt track and raced seven furlongs. Baoma Corporation's champion sprinter and even-money favorite Drefong did what most expected and bested the quality field of nine in near-record time for the distance - in gate-to-wire fashion. Awesome Slew finished a good second at 12-1 odds with 44-1 longshot Tom's Ready claiming third. The order of finish was completed by 4-1 third choice Divining Rod, Tale of S'avall, 5-2 second choice Mind Your Biscuits, Tommy Macho, Stallwalkin' Dude, Very Very Stella, and Ross.
